Sara is a strategic advisor and capacity builder with more than twenty years of experience designing transformative programs for foundations, nonprofits, and educational leaders across three continents. Most recently, as Senior Program Officer at Rogers Family Foundation, Sara co-authored the foundation's final strategic plan and pioneered "beyond the grant" support that included thought partnership, capacity building, and collective action through strategic grantee convenings. Before that, Sara founded and scaled initiatives from the ground up, including launching Educando's LISTO leadership program for Mexican public school principals and growing Raising A Reader Alameda County by over 900 percent while tripling its funder base. Sara roots her work in relationship building and equity. Whether conducting deep organizational assessments through stakeholder listening sessions, or convening diverse partners for collective impact, Sara brings a unique combination of hands-on program design expertise, cross-cultural fluency, and a commitment to disrupting systemic inequities while building the capacity of leaders and organizations to create lasting change.
